Cyrus, you couldn't have picked better excerpts. Henry Davis Thoreau's Civil Disobedience would have worked well too. I always forget to research Alan Watts, another great thinker of our time. I'm currently reading a book called "Fear no Evil" by Eva Pierrakos & Donovan Thesenga. It has to do with Abraham Maslows' theory on the lower and higher self and the "shadows" (evil,sin, etc...) that exist in each of us which we choose not to acknowledge leaving us in a state of superficial external bliss. Very good film though. I'm so glad that Korduroy TV exists.

this was really good. an excellent choice of quotes, well read (who by?). I like the way positivity and playfulness grow from initial cynicism and sad realities. -encouraging for us little people- i will indeed persist in my folly! It reminded me a bit of the excellent "Strongest of the strange" Scott Bourne section on Pontus Alv´s skate video of the same name (youtube it) with Bukowski reading over the footage. This definitely merits a sequel or development into a longer version...there are so many worth quotes out there as the guy above mentions....

Nice one, I liked erik dermans twilight kingdom alot, and this seemed like a more surf oriented version, good work cy, book quotes worked well jon

This is really great man. To me, it really approaches the more subtle nuances of the feeling and being of this type of life. This is so much more interesting and broad reaching than the vast majority of "surf movie" content that I have seen. I hope you are working on developing this piece into a longer format... or at least more of these. There needs to be more of these.
