It dawned on me over my morning coffee that my tour with Dan Hannaford begins next week. 

We are old pals Dan and I. When i lived in Ballina on the North Coast NSW, studying music, i met Dan and his family. They were all beautiful people with a love of the ocean and rivers around the North Coast. I learnt alot about the area through the Hannafords. We would surf North Wall, Trestles, Sharps, Speeds reef and Lennox Head. We would also snorkel through the river, swim the dogs over to the sandbar...all great memories.

So now, Dan is married and has a little girl but he tours relentlessly playing his dirtly brand of blues/folk. He revs up the crowd and kicks the sweat out of his stomp box. He has wowed Byron Bay Blues Festival goers and National Folk Fest folks these last few months and now he joins little old me on a tour from Newcastle to Coolangatta. 

We will, no doubt, find the time to surf and fish our way north. It's part of the attraction of playing music in the evenings...so many fun activities to partake of in the daytime.
